Salix Acutifolia ‘Blue Streak’

This attractive Willow is quick growing, forming a large deciduous shrub over time. The stems are blue-black and dusted with a distinctive white bloom, creating a pretty contrast with its upward facing silvery catkins in spring. The slender foliage that follows, is blue-green and pendulous, providing an attractive arching display that turns to gold in autumn. Salix acutifolia ‘Blue Streak’ makes a useful choice for wet soils. It can be pollarded if necessary to restrict its size. Height and spread: 5m (16’).
