Commonly known as Cheal’s Weeping Cherry, this eye-catching cultivar makes a superb stand-alone specimen plant. Pendulous branches drape from a central trunk to create a cascade of double pink Cherry blossom from late April. The new foliage of Prunus ‘Kiku-shidare-zakura’ emerges a pretty bronze colour, before maturing to green throughout the summer. As autumn approaches the foliage turns to orange-bronze, glowing like a beacon on bright autumn days. Height and spread: 4m (13’).
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
