Poppy ‘Brilliant’

Poppy ‘Brilliant’ is a classic brilliant red with inky black splotches at the centre of each bloom. This bold Oriental Poppy delivers a bright splash of colour towards the front of early summer borders. The satin blooms are held aloft on slender, hairy stems above a clump of grey-green foliage. After flowering the leaves tend to die back, before re-emerging later in the summer with a fresh display of dissected foliage. This easy to grow perennial thrives on any free draining soil and returns year after year. Dot this Poppy among other perennials or plant them in groups to create a strong focal point.
