Nandina domestica ‘Flirt’ is a recent introduction for gardeners, with superior summer colour to its predecessors, and a low spreading habit. New foliage emerges a deep wine colour in spring and turns redder during the summer months. Toward autumn the evergreen leaves mature to deep purple-green. White, star-shaped flowers with pronounced yellow anthers are borne in summer, followed by red berries. Its spreading, bushy habit makes this a good choice as an edging shrub, or grown as a specimen plant in sunny borders, to provide dramatic foliage colour all the year round. Height and spread: 50cm (20″).
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
