A deciduous Magnolia which produces lilac-pink, star-shaped flowers in spring with long, narrow petals that emerge from darker pink buds. Together with its narrow, oval, mid-green foliage, Magnolia x lobneri ‘Leonard Messel’ is an elegant choice for a small garden or for use as a statement plant in a larger garden. This shrub has also been awarded a prestigious RHS Award of Garden Merit. Height: 8m (26′). Spread: 6m (20′).
