A single plant of Daubenton’s Kale will keep you fed with greens for life! This Duo of both ‘Daubenton’s Green’ and ‘Daubenton’s Variegata’ looks fantastic on the veg plot as well as providing an all-year-round supply of nutritious, mild-flavoured leaves on shrubby, space-saving plants that are ideal for awkward corners on the plot. Shunned by supermarkets due to its inability to store, Kale ‘Daubenton’s Duo’ will keep cropping even through the winter. Although plants do become exhausted after about 5 years, they are easy to strike from cuttings, guaranteeing a lifetime’s supply of nutritious greens. For a tasty snack, try tossing them in sesame oil and sea salt and roasting in a hot oven for 5-10 mins to make kale crisps. Height: 90-120cm (3-4ft). Spread: 120-150cm (4-5ft).
