Hydrangea macrophylla ‘Alpengluehen’ is a compact plant with shiny, dark green foliage and red-pink flowers in July and August. However, if grown in an acidic soil, this deciduous shrub will bear flowerheads in shades of lavender, blue and mauve. Completely sun tolerant if provided with a rich, moisture retentive, free-draining soil. Height & Spread: 1.5m (5′).
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
