A spectacular, upright, deciduous shrub with ovate to diamond-shaped, lobed, toothed, dark-green leaves. From late summer into autumn, large, double, pink-flushed, white flowers with dark red centres appear and they don’t stop performing until all the buds have gone. Towards the end of the flowering season, the flowers tend to reveal more pink rather than white, with a deep purple blotch in the centre. Hibiscus syriacus ‘Lady Stanley’ puts on a show-stopping display when most other plants are fading. Height: 3m (10′). Spread: 2m (6.5′).
Culinary note: The flowers can be infused to make a mildly citrus flavoured tea. The petals can be cut and added to fruit salads too. For more details about edible flowers click here.
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
