Named for its dark, green- black foliage which makes the perfect backdrop for the spidery white flowers. Aster novi-belgii ‘Lady in Black’ is less showy than many cultivars, but no less floriferous. A myriad of delicate blooms appear from late summer, lasting well into autumn. Like all Michaelmas Daisies, it provides a valuable source of late-season nectar for pollinating insects. A charming hardy perennial for the middle of borders, where it will benefit from staking to support its stems. Height: 90cm (36”). Spread: 50cm (20”).
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
