Fully double, jet-black blooms make Aquilegia vulgaris var. stellata ‘Black Barlow’ particularly alluring. The spurless blooms are held aloft on wiry stems above airy clumps of foliage. Like all columbines, this hardy perennial is easy to grow, seeding freely to form attractive swathes throughout borders. Aquilegia is a well-loved cottage garden treasure and makes a charming cut flower for late spring bouquets. Height: 90cm (36″). Spread: 40cm (16″).
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
