A very beautiful, multi-stemmed, deciduous shrub or small tree with unusual flowers and foliage which is perfect for adding an exotic feature to small gardens and large patio containers. Albizia julibrissin ‘Evy’s Pride’ develops a spreading, umbrella-like habit and feathery, mimosa-like leaves that emerge a green-bronze colour before deepening to dark chocolate-purple. From July to September, it is smothered in fragrant flowers looking like fluffy clusters of pink to purplish silk threads. ‘Evey’s Pride’ is more floriferous and hardier than older varieties, tolerating temperatures down to -8C. Grow as a free-standing specimen or trained against a sheltered, sunny wall. In small spaces, its height can easily be managed by considerate pruning. Height and spread: 4–8 m (13-26ft).
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
